Eyebright is an herbaceous plant from the Scrophulariaceae genus. According to the English herbalist Nicolas Culpeper (1616-1654), Eyebright "helps all infirmities of the eyes that cause dimness of sight". David Hoffmann, famous British herbalist, recommends Eyebright for chronic or acute mucosal inflammations of the eye and the sinus. He considers Eyebright as a powerful anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory and astringent agent.
